Francke Colleage on Forest and Conservation,<strong> <\/strong>University of Montana <strong>presented 6th May 2021<\/strong> about <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThe past and future of peak detection in paleofire research\u201d<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is the first video of the quasi monthly online IPN seminar series to foster knowledge exchange and promote discussion across worldwide paleofire communities on paleofire methods, new directions, and applied research spanning many spatial and temporal scales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar series has been kicked off with a presentation on \u201cThe past and future of peak detection in paleofire research\u201c by Philip Higuera ((<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfc.umt.edu\/research\/paleoecologylab\/\">PaleoEcology and Fire Ecology Lab\u00a07<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/ipn.paleofire.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/IPN-Paleofire-Seminar-Phil-Higuera-2021-05-06.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next seminar are already planned, anyone interested is welcome, especially ECRs are encouraged to attend!
